A hidden oasis of tranquility
The resort is a true gem, nestled in lush tropical gardens with a serene atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, with wonderful terraces overlooking the lake. The food is a standout, offering fresh, homemade dishes, with every bite carefully prepared. The friendly staff go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable, from arranging excursions to serving delicious meals by the pool. I loved lounging in the evenings beside the shimmering lake, surrounded by water lilies and friendly chatter.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. There isn't much for tourists within Battambang town, so I am glad we stayed somewhere a little ways out in the countryside as it was quieter, more private, and more relaxing than I would imagine any of the city hotels would have been. It was also no further from any of Battambang's attractions than a city location would have been since you have to leave town to see them all anyway.
It is hard to compare this hotel to the others we stayed in during our trip in Cambodia because Battambang is less touristy than other cities we visited. There were a lot more bugs here, as one would expect, but it made the open restaurant and bar a little unpleasant at dinner. Not that this was the hotel's fault, but we didn't consider it when booking the room. We had a patio by the pond, but with all the bugs we didn't really use it at night. Also, there was not a tv in the room, which was fine and we knew in advance, but with all the bugs flying in our faces and drinks outside we ended up sitting in our room unsure what to do. The hotel brochure said the bar had games we could borrow but when we went to get one all they actually had was backgammon without any instructions and a deck of cards. It ended up being fine because we made up our own card game and had tons of fun, but just something to be aware of.

Everything about it was beautiful. Huge and exceptionally clean rooms with a tiled veranda outside and excellant service - just as we expected. The stuff was accommodating and always greeted us. The location was wonderful - not far from the restaurant where the food is of an excellent standard as well as Easy to arrange trips.

The pool area was clean and the location was peaceful, so close to the town centre, the center and beautiful gardens and butterflies. There was a poolside restaurant nearby: )

Relaxed place. Friendly staff. The lone firefly in the garden was great to see.
(1) Music in restaurant was too loud at times. (I would prefer to listen t the frogs, which turned out to be quite difficult) (2) Fan in the room was difficult to adjust (it was either "roaring" or "too fast" - needs a new controller so you can have "gentle"). (3) Not enough light over the writing table.

We received a very warm welcome from the owners. The hotel is very nice and clean. Our room had a little terrace with a view to the pool and was very comfortable. We had a very cultural and interesting visit of Battambang with the tuk tuk driver who works for the hotel. All in all a very good experience.

The noise from ceremonies can ruin the tranquility you're seeking!!! The location requires a bumpy 15-minute ride with trash lining the road, which detracts from the beauty!!! Pool area crowded with non-residents at times!!!

Everything. It was one of the best places we have ever stayed. We had the Lake room and it was a most beautiful room. Well finished off and very stylish. Food in the restaurant was of a high standard. Staff were extremely helpful and spoke excellent English.
Breakfasts could be improved - but that was really the opinion of the kids who like buffets!

Battambang Resort is an oasis after a day of sightseeing. We were there for two nights but wish we could have stayed longer. We had a lake room and the room was roomy and lovely with an outdoor patio. The dining spaces were also lovely as was the pool area. Jan and Patty (the owners) arranged a tour for us with Tin who gave us an amazing cultural tour of the Battambang area, including the must see temples. Jan and Patty were incredibly gracious and friendly hosts as were their staff. We were lucky to be in town on a night when the circus (acrobatic) was performing. A must see if you are in Battambang on a Tuesday night! Although not in Battambang proper, it is a short tuk tuk ride to the city.
